I wanted to write this post to inspire anyone who may be at a crossroads with encouragement or unsure of how to lift their husband with a few of these powerful marriage bible verses. He was my first love and as a young woman at the time I knew he was a keeper. I still am so grateful our paths crossed 12 years ago. I am thankful for my husband and love him so much. Let’s go! ENCOURAGING SCRIPTURE FOR HUSBANDS The best way to get encouraged is to simply dive into God’s word. However, I do know that love covers so many blemishes, frustrations, and tough times because I chose him and I still choose him. I know I cannot do it alone and need my savior Jesus Christ, friends and family, and mentors in my life to help me stay the course. In perfect unity on our wedding day, I vowed to support, love, protect, and take care of my husband. You work your butt off for your family, love your kids and husband more than anything, and sacrifice a lot of personal things on their behalf.Įven though we are not perfect we are seeking out the right things daily and the best thing about it all is we have a good husband who happens to also be a best friend. If you are reading this blog post you probably can relate to me in many ways. I feel it is my marital duty to seek to lift my spouse and encourage him versus constantly nagging and tearing him down. If you have ever gone through a difficult time in life there is nothing better than someone who seeks to lift you up, keeps no record of wrongs (a big one for me), and who sets an example of leaning on God’s word for strength. Isn’t it humbling to know that we are all made in the image of God even when we fail or fall short? When I sit back and think about that it is the ultimate love letter to us. Often I use the same words of encouragement and they just seem to be oversaid. At times I feel I struggle to find the right words to say when I need to encourage my husband.
